This Privacy Policy explains how Minotiq Inc. (referred to as “we” or “us”) collects, stores, uses, and protects your personal data in connection with your use of our website https://minotiq.com (including its related pages) (the “Website”) and our mobile application Minotiq (the “App”, and together with the Website, the “Services”). This policy also explains the rights you have regarding your personal data and the practices we implement to protect your privacy.
1. Personal Data We Collect
Personal data that you provide:
General details.
This includes your name, email address, age, account credentials, subscription details, and transaction history. You may choose to provide information about your gender.
Communication information.
If you contact us through support channels or other means, we collect your name, contact information, and the content of any messages you send.
Account photo.
If you voluntarily upload a profile image, we process the photo to display it in your account.
Social media information.
We maintain pages on platforms such as Instagram. When you interact with our social media pages, we receive information you choose to share. These platforms may also provide us with aggregate analytics related to our page activity.
Health and well-being data.
You may choose to provide information such as your weight, height, body composition estimates, training preferences, fitness goals, past injuries, and general workout habits.
If you choose to connect third-party services (such as Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect), we may import activity or health data such as steps, calories, heart rate, or workout summaries. Processing such data is subject to the privacy policies of Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect.
Workout logs and in-app inputs.
We collect any training data you manually log or record in the App, including exercises, weights, sets, reps, durations, or other workout-related notes.
AI Assistant conversations.
When you use our AI Assistant within the App, we store your conversations for functionality, troubleshooting, and improvement of the App experience.
Personal data we receive automatically from your use of the Services:
Log data.
This includes information your device or browser sends when you access the Website or App: IP address, browser type, date and time of access.
Usage details.
This includes features you use, the actions you take within the Services, time spent on the App, your time zone, country, and operating system.
Device information.
This includes your device model, unique device identifiers, and platform information.
Details about in-app purchases.
This includes purchase timestamps, subscription tier, renewal status, and related metadata.
Cookies and similar technologies.
We use these technologies to operate, administer, and improve the Services. See Section 10 for more details.
Personal data that we receive from other sources:

This includes enabling account creation, generating your workout logs and progress analytics, maintaining subscription access, and ensuring the App functions correctly.
To improve and develop our Services and new features.
We analyze usage patterns, errors, and performance metrics to refine and enhance Minotiq.
To verify your eligibility to use the App.
We check that you meet minimum age requirements.
To provide customer support.
This includes responding to your messages and resolving issues.
To send service emails.
We may send notifications about security updates, subscription confirmations, and system alerts.
With your consent, to send marketing communications.
You may opt out at any time.
To integrate Website and App data.
We may combine information collected across platforms for seamless onboarding.
With your consent, to find audiences similar to our users.
We may share non-health usage data with advertising partners such as AppsFlyer for promotional efficiency.
To prevent misuse of the Services.
This includes fraud prevention, account abuse detection, and protection of platform integrity.
To comply with legal obligations.
We may process your data to meet statutory requirements.

We may transform your data into aggregated or de-identified form for research and Services improvement.
We will not sell or rent your personal data for monetary gain.
We will not use data from Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect for advertising, nor will we sell it to data brokers or any advertising platform.

Business or Commercial Purpose for Collecting Personal Information:
To provide body progress tracking and body comparison features, you may choose to upload photos of your body. These photos are processed only to generate progress visuals, comparisons, or timeline displays within the App.
We do not use camera-based body scanning, real-time camera vision, or automated body analysis at this stage.
We store and process the photos only for the purpose of providing these features.
If required under applicable law, we rely on your explicit consent for processing these photos.
You may delete uploaded photos at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@minotiq.com.
Categories of Third Parties and Other Entities to Whom We May Disclose:
Service providers and processors that store or manage images on our behalf (e.g., cloud storage or infrastructure providers)
Parties involved in strategic transactions, reorganizations, or transitions of service
Legal authorities, if required to comply with law or prevent harm
We do not share your photos with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.
Retention:
Photos are retained only as long as your account remains active or until you choose to delete them.
If you delete your account, your photos will be permanently deleted within one month.
4.7 Inferences drawn from other data

Purposes: personalization, workout recommendations, analytics

4.8 Sensitive personal data (e.g., health/wellbeing information)

We may share certain identifiers and usage data with advertising partners for marketing, but not health data.

5. Personal Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active.
If you deactivate your account:
Workout logs and account information will be deleted within one month, unless legally required to retain them.
We may retain minimal account identifiers for legal or transactional purposes.
Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

7. Security Measures
We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your personal data. These include:

Contractual obligations for service providers
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs, we will take appropriate steps and notify relevant parties when required.

8. Children
Minotiq is not directed toward individuals under 18 years old.
If you become aware that a minor has used the Services, contact support@minotiq.com and we will take appropriate action.
9. Sharing of Your Personal Data
In some situations, we engage other companies (“processors”) to help us operate the Services. These companies process certain personal data on our behalf and only according to our instructions.
Currently, Minotiq uses the following processors:
9.1 Infrastructure & Security
Supabase (USA) – database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions
Expo (USA) – application framework and development infrastructure
(Note: Expo may rely on underlying third-party infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud.)
9.2 Analytics
At this stage, Minotiq does not use external analytics providers beyond the basic analytics offered through Supabase and Expo tooling.
9.3 Payments & Subscriptions
Not applicable at this stage.
Minotiq does not currently process payments or use third-party subscription management tools.
9.4 Email & Communication
Minotiq does not currently use external email or messaging service providers.
Support communication is handled manually via support@minotiq.com.
9.5 Customer Support
No third-party support platforms are in use at this stage.
10. Your Choices About Our Communications
We may send you service-related messages and, with your consent where required, marketing or promotional messages.
Unsubscribe:
You may opt out of marketing emails via the “Unsubscribe” link or by contacting support@minotiq.com.
Push notifications:
You may disable them in your device settings.
12. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
The date of last revision is shown above.
We may update this policy from time to time.
Material changes that impact your rights will require your consent when appropriate.
